Paul is a multi-award-winning professional photographer and Head of Photography at Beaminster and Sir John Colfox Schools, with a passion for Dorset’s communities and countryside. Working with local people telling stories through images and video interviews and stories. Paul is fascinated with analogue photography, from building his own cameras to experimenting with a range of eco-developers for producing unique prints mixing both Art and Science. He is currently learning and running workshops on therapeutic, mindful photography using it to help young people recover from the effects of lockdowns and tackle the current mental health epidemic afflicting young people.
Prior to teaching photography, Paul worked as an international photojournalist, working for international news agencies, European newspapers, and NGOs throughout South East Asia. This includes working with a diverse range of stakeholders, and telling a broad range of stories through photographic images, from local communities experiencing natural disasters through to political figures and the latest financial news.
Paul has worked with both local and international newspapers, brands, magazines, and businesses as well as families and individuals.
